About the Band:
We formed the band in late 1999. Back in those days, Pat and Pete had been working together on a pop/punk project called “Blockhead”. Pete and Neel had already been in a few bands together, so Pete asked Neel to come in and play bass guitar on the second Blockhead record. This started a long-term partnership for these three, which continues to this day in the band Stellarator.
Pat and Pete have known each other since the 7th grade, and both had also known Leslie since elementary school. When were forming The Cocktail Revs we thought it would cool to mix the jangly pop songs that Pat was writing with Leslie’s voice and jazzy influences. Lucky for us, she was available and wanted to join! We recruited Brian T. Lumb to play drums, and the band was complete with Pat (guitar/keys), Pete (guitar/percussion), Neel (bass guitar), Brian (drums) and Leslie (vocals, keys). Pete has had a few different roles in the band over the years, and became our full-time drummer in 2009 when Brian moved out of state.
We recorded three records: Non-specific Gravity (2001), A Murder of Crows (2002), and This is My Happy Face (2006). We were active until about 2012, and over the years we played some pretty cool Seattle venues such as Neumos, Barboza, Jules Maes, The Central and Doc Maynards. We even played live on Q13 Morning News back when they sometimes had bands mixed in with their morning broadcasts.
We are excited to announce the 2020 release of “Corpse Reviver No. 1”, which features 7 songs that were re-mixed and re-mastered from the “This is my happy face” LP, originally released in 2006. Click here for details about this new EP.
